Educational Programs That Will Save Lives

The Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation has embarked on a visionary endeavor that will disrupt a mounting epidemic in global health. Over the last decade, lifestyle diseases, defined by the World Health Organization as “noncommunicable” conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and others, have far exceeded infectious diseases in their societal and economic impacts. On top of this, autoimmune and neuroimmune conditions are rapidly rising, with too few real solutions from mainstream medicine.

Patients, providers, and communities are experiencing unanticipated burdens, a lack of solutions, and loss of loved ones. In response, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation has created a first-of-its-kind Wellness Project bringing together ideas, people, and tools to translate scientific, medical and natural health discoveries into educational programs that will save lives.

Since its inception more than 66 years ago, Price-Pottenger has valued leading-edge scientific research, while honoring the wisdom of indigenous communities around the world whose nutritional approaches prevented most of today’s health challenges.

Together We Will Rebuild Medicine

Re-learn the Language of Nature

The Wellness Project by Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation expands our efforts to change the paradigm of medicine by collaborating with indigenous communities around the world. We recognize that, in the rush toward progress, important aspects of natural healing wisdom have been lost. Our bodies also need to re-learn the language of nature.

Together, we will rebuild medicine by leveraging science and honoring culturally relevant traditions for each community, including food sovereignty, plant medicines, language, culture, and ceremony.

Connection, Information & Collaboration

We’ve designed The Wellness Project to be both reactive (to the current state of global health) and proactive (to meet the unanticipated demands resulting from environmental stressors, technology, changes in health insurance, and more). While our Project continues to evolve, we are aiming high to deliver in the following ways:

  • Provide a family-like, supportive community so no one feels alone on their healing journey.
  • Offer education and a community of support regardless of ability to pay, so that anyone who is at the end of their budget due to medical costs can still benefit from these programs.

  • Deliver science-based natural healing solutions with clearly defined protocols and educational tools that cut through the confusion of healing options.
  • Help people navigate the allopathic and complementary medical landscape.

  • Partner with indigenous communities who desire collaboration, effective natural treatment methods, and strategies that combine their ancestral diet and culturally appropriate healing protocols with contemporary practices.
  • Work with the indigenous communities who participated in Dr. Weston A. Price’s research in the 1930s to complete the circle of knowledge sharing.
